We happened to have some free time this past week while in the Dallas area and decided to pop into Landon Winery in McKinney, Texas. Wine of the Week – 2012 Novy Zinfandel Russian River Valley

Each week I pick out one wine to highlight as my wine of the week. This wine may be an outstanding wine, a great value or just something very interesting. Overview Novy is the “sister” winery of Adam and Dianna (Novy) Lee’s Siduri Winery. All things Pinot Noir carry the Siduri label, everything else gets Novy. Cinsault: A Master Class

Winethropology - - 5 readers - You've really got to hand it to the smarties at LoCa. Earlier this year they put together what has to be the most compelling projection of an AVA's terroir ever to land on our doorstep. The gist of it was this: one sub-appellation, one variety, specific winemaking standards/constraints, from six different vineyards.
